SSC Junior Translator Eligibility Criteria
Nationality
To be eligible for the SSC Junior Translator 2023 recruitment, candidates must be citizens of either India, Nepal, or Bhutan. Nepali or Bhutanese candidates need to possess a Certificate of Eligibility issued by the Government of India.

Educational Qualification
For Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translator:

  • A Master’s degree from a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject, or as the medium of examination at the degree level.
  • Alternatively, a Master’s degree in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject, or as the medium of examination at the degree level.
  • Master’s degree in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject, or as the medium of examination at the degree level.
  • Master’s degree in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject, or as the medium of examination at the degree level.
  • Master’s Degree in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as the medium of examination, and a recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English & vice versa or two years of experience in translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government Office, including Government of India Undertaking.

For Senior Hindi Translator:

  • Similar educational qualifications as Junior Translator with additional experience requirements.
  • Recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English & vice versa or three years of experience in translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government Office, including the Government of India Undertaking.

The age limit for SSC Junior Translator 2023 recruitment is 18-30 years. Additionally, age relaxation is provided as per government guidelines:
