UP Police Sports Quota Selection Process:
- Sports Certificate Verification: Candidates must undergo verification of their sports certificates as part of the initial selection process.
- Document Verification: a. Applicants with duly verified application forms will receive invitation letters for document scrutiny. b. Those invited are required to be present on the specified date, time, and venue determined by the selection committee. c. During the verification process, candidates must submit their original educational and sports certificates. d. This step ensures the thorough validation of the information provided in the application form.
- Physical Measurement Test: No Physical Measurement Test is scheduled for this recruitment process.
Sports Skill Test:
(a) After the scrutiny of documents, successful candidates will be assessed for their sports skills before the Sports Skill Test Committee. The evaluation will thoroughly examine the candidates’ proficiency in sports. The Sports Skill Test carries a total of 80 marks. Candidates scoring 50 or more points are deemed eligible, while those with fewer than 50 points are considered ineligible. The scoring criteria set by the Sports Skill Test Committee are as follows:
- Eligible: 50 marks or more
- Ineligible: Less than 50 marks
(b) Candidates who qualify in the Sports Skill Test will progress to the next stage.
(c) Once declared ineligible by the committee, candidates will not be reconsidered for inclusion in the selection process.
Sports Certificate Verification:
This phase is based on candidates’ sports achievements. The Selection Committee will evaluate the sports certificates of candidates who performed well in the Sports Skill Test. This segment carries a weightage of 20 marks.
Division of Marks:
- Sports Skill Test: 80 Marks
- Evaluation of Sports Certificates: 20 Marks
- Total: 100 Marks
Final Merit List:
(a) To create the final selection list, the scores obtained by candidates in the Sports Skill Test, as well as the marks allotted by the Sports Skill Test Committee and the Selection Committee, will be added.
(b) The Board will prepare a merit list based on the success of candidates in sports competitions relevant to vacant positions. This list will be submitted to the Director General of Police, Uttar Pradesh, for approval along with character verification. No waiting list will be prepared by the Board. The Department Head will forward the approved list to the appointing authority for further action after obtaining approval.
